With a holiday in the GREEN VILLA you make the right decision in many respects. Also in terms of the environment and future generations . We are convinced that a holiday is possible should be designed responsibly so that one's own enjoyment does not become a burden for others.
Therefore, sustainability is a matter close to our hearts. You will notice this in many details that make the difference and keep the ecological footprint and thus the impact on others as small as possible.

Nobody is perfect : Of course not everything is perfect with us either. However, we make every effort to continuously improve the offer in terms of sustainability, so that a holiday that is as environmentally friendly as possible can be realized.

In most cases, a large part of the ecological footprint of a holiday is caused by the distance to the holiday destination . It takes only about 1.5 to 2.5 hours by car to reach the GREEN VILLA from German metropolitan areas such as Cologne, Düsseldorf and the Ruhr area.
You can hardly get closer to the sea !
MEANS OF TRANSPORT
It's nice that you don't care which means of transport you use to travel on vacation.
In any case, you are doing a lot of things right by choosing a holiday destination that makes traveling by plane or cruise ship superfluous. Because according to the experts of various climate protection organizations, avoiding cruises, flights and ferry trips is one of the most effective environmental protection measures that we can take as individuals. It is better to save CO2 than to compensate it.
the short journey to the GREEN VILLA is usually possible without a stopover with the electric car. The route is ideal for a journey, for example with the solar electric car "Sion" from Sono Motors. However, due to the short distance, traveling by public transport or by conventional car only leaves a relatively small ecological footprint .
Such a climate-conscious arrival and departure makes a big difference !
PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM
We produce a large part of the electricity ourselves on site with our own photovoltaic system.
HYBRID TECHNOLOGY
On hot summer days you can enjoy special comfort in the GREEN VILLA thanks to special equipment: environmentally friendly cooling !
The convectors are equipped with hybrid technology so that the heat pump with its integrated reversing function can pleasantly cool down the rooms. An energy-intensive conventional air conditioning system is therefore deliberately avoided.

The GREEN VILLA is specially equipped with an environmentally friendly heat pump (optional equipment) and therefore does not use any fuels such as oil, gas or wood.

INDOOR SWIMMING POOL WITH SOLAR TECHNOLOGY
The heated indoor pool is up-to-date and equipped with environmentally friendly solar technology .
CHARGING POINTS FOR E-BIKES, PEDELECS & CO
In the park there are extra sockets for e-bikes, pedelecs and other electric vehicles (Fietslaadpunt).
E-CHARGING PILLARS
There are several e-charging stations available for electric cars in the park (Ecotap Charging Station).
ADVANCED ARCHITECTURE
The GREEN VILLA was developed by a well-known architect in the Bauhaus style. This minimalist design enables the best possible use of space . The ingenious division over 2 levels results in a lot of space while at the same time taking up little space .
DURABLE MATERIALS
Holiday home experts have also developed the various elements and furniture of the GREEN VILLA with particular regard to the durability of the materials used . Many of them are even particularly easy to care for, so that less maintenance is required.
ORGANIC QUALITY
More than 90% of the ingredients in the Park Restaurant are organic. We only cook with quality products that are organic and animal-friendly . The suppliers are carefully selected. For example, many of the products come from Eco Fields, the first organic veal farm in the Netherlands. There is also a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
NO ADDITIONAL CONSUMPTION OF SPACE
The GREEN VILLA was built on a plot of land that had already been built on (with a mandatory rest period afterwards). In this respect, no additional area was used there, no tree felled for it and no additional soil was sealed.
INDUCTION
The particularly environmentally friendly stove does not require gas , but warms up the food just as quickly. The induction technology consumes around 30% less electricity than conventional stoves with a ceramic hob.
ELECTRIC FIREPLACE
The panorama fireplace is equipped with the latest generation of special electrical technology. Visually, it can hardly be distinguished from a conventional fireplace.
At the same time, it is particularly environmentally friendly compared to other fireplaces that run on fuels such as wood or gas. For example, the e-chimney does not produce any toxic smoke gases such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide or fine dust.
LED TECHNOLOGY
All lamps of the GREEN VILLA are with economical LED light sources fitted. A large part of the street, path and footbridge lighting in the holiday park is also equipped with LED technology (very pleasant, warm orange-coloured ambient light).
INSECT FRIENDLY GARDEN
When designing the garden, we focused on insect friendliness respected and predominant regional plant species used (no bamboo ;-))
CO2 NEUTRAL GAS BARBECUE
Instead of a charcoal grill, we bought a gas grill that can be operated with gas bottles that contain CO2-neutral gas (such as the Grillmeister gas bottle).
NO SMOKING HOUSE
The GREEN VILLA is a non-smoking house. For reasons of hygiene, smoking is not permitted in the house.
INSECT REPELLENT
The GREEN-VILLA is not only equipped with insect screens in sensible places to protect our guests (Optional equipment) equipped. Because these also protect the insects equally from humans: What doesn't get into the house doesn't have to be tracked ;-)
DOUBLE INSULATION
The walls of the GREEN VILLA are twice as well insulated as usual. This is a win for the environment as well as for comfort . In the GREEN VILLA it doesn't get cold so quickly in winter and it doesn't get hot so quickly in summer. The rooms are therefore kept at a pleasant temperature all year round.
MANGO WOOD
Much of the furniture in the GREEN VILLA is made of mango wood. This is a wood that is only a by-product of fruit growing. It is very stable and durable. Mango wood is therefore considered to be particularly sustainable and environmentally friendly.
MICROWAVE WITH ENERGY-SAVING INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
The built-in microwave of the GREEN-VILLA is equipped with economical inverter technology. Through the automatic intelligent power control not only energy is saved, but also time.
WATER-SAVING INSERTS
The high-quality taps and shower fittings in the GREEN VILLA are equipped with integrated water-saving inserts . According to the motto: save water with full showering pleasure.
WASTE RECYCLING
Of course, we have no influence on the Dutch waste system. Although less waste is separated there, the recycling rates are higher than in Germany. The best solution according to the waste pyramid is undoubtedly the avoidance of waste . That is why we have already given the holiday park some concrete suggestions for waste avoidance.
The coffee capsules are full recycled. In the GREEN VILLA there is an extra recycling bin for this and in the park there is a separate bin just for the capsules.
SECOND LIFE
It doesn't always have to be brand new. We have given a second life to some items in the GREEN VILLA, such as some toys for children. We have made a careful selection so that most of the items do not even look like this. In this way, a lot of resources are saved , since nothing new has to be produced.
WEB CONTROL
The GREEN VILLA is equipped with web control. When not in use, the heating can simply be turned down to a necessary minimum via remote maintenance, so that no energy is wasted .
OPTIMAL ALIGNMENT
The GREEN VILLA is optimally aligned to the sun. Due to the solar heating via the large window front, the energy requirement in winter is significantly lower. Within a short time it is pleasantly warm on sunny days, even in winter, without the need for additional heating.
NATURAL SHADING
In summer, the GREEN VILLA also benefits from the natural shading of the trees.
The pleasant room climate means that active cooling via the existing ECO cooling system is usually superfluous. In addition, an environmentally friendly cooling effect can be achieved via the sun visors and curtains. It is also ideal that all 3 bedrooms face north.
CONSUMPTION OPTIMIZATION
We have analyzed and optimized the power consumption of all electrical devices with a measuring device. Accordingly, we have installed socket switches to prevent unnecessary standby consumption.
NESTING BOXES
In order to offer various bird species a safe place to nest, we have hung up several nesting boxes. Interest in nature and the environment is awakened, especially in children.
Wonderful to watch the hustle and bustle from the breakfast table!

At the same time, this protects the environment, because less weight also means less consumption on arrival and departure.

This is also only available in the GREEN VILLA! As part of the on-site guest folder, we have designed a clear check-out list that takes particularly sustainable aspects into account.
That way nothing is forgotten and you leave with a good feeling.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Even if we have paid attention to many environmentally friendly things, there are of course still some things that can be done better. We are working on this continuously. for Feedback & ideas from our guests we are grateful, because it helps us a lot to become even more sustainable on our common path.
DONATIONS FOR CONSERVATION PROJECTS
We donate 15 percent of the rent surplus to various Conservation Projects . We only support " very well " tested environmental organizations with projects according to the Gold standard .
Due to the international scope of the climate crisis, we specifically support climate protection projects both in Germany and in other countries around the world. Through this conscious diversification, we achieve that environmental protection both with us regionally as well as globally .
We attach particular importance to climate protection projects to " avoid & reduce greenhouse gas emissions through new technologies". Because in this way the CO2 polluters are tackled directly. According to the environmental protection experts, such measures are significantly more effective than those aimed only at compensating for CO2.
